In Canada, MDS, Inc. of Etobicoke, Ontario announced the sale of its remaining clinical laboratory businesses for a sales price of C$900 million (US$803 million). The buyer is Borealis Infrastructure Management Inc., part of the private equity group at the $41-billion Ontario Municipal Employees Retirement Board (OMERS).
