LabVantage Solutions

LabVantage Solutions is a recognized leader in enterprise laboratory software solutions, including for COVID-19/SARS-CoV-2 virus testing management and pathology information workflows. The LabVantage informatics platform improves customer outcomes by transforming data into knowledge. Consisting of a laboratory information management system (LIMS), electronic lab notebook (ELN), lab execution system (LES), scientific data management system (SDMS), and specific to healthcare labs – a dedicated laboratory information system (LIS), the platform is highly configurable, integrated across a common, modern architecture, and 100% browser-based to support hundreds of concurrent users.

Deployed on-premise, via the cloud, or SaaS, it seamlessly interfaces with instruments and other enterprise systems – enabling true digital transformation. We support more than 1,500 global customer sites in the genetics/diagnostics, healthcare, life sciences, pharmaceutical, medical device, biobank, food and beverage, consumer packaged goods, and oil and gas industries. Headquartered in Somerset, NJ, with global offices, LabVantage has offered its comprehensive portfolio of products and services to enable customers to innovate faster in the R&D cycle, improve manufactured product quality, achieve accurate record-keeping, and comply with regulatory requirements for four decades.

LabVantage Medical Suite, a truly integrated Laboratory Information System (LIS), meets the needs of all medical lab disciplines, from chemistry and hematology, pathology and genomics, to microbiology and other general lab functions, all in one platform – improving lab efficiency, operations, and maintenance.

It’s the most modern informatics platform available. Developed specifically for labs in healthcare settings, LabVantage Medical Suite is an LIS with a lab-operated control center, single browser-based user interface, and patient- and user-centered workflows that make it easy to automate routine tasks, facilitate regulatory compliance, and improve patient care.

LabVantage COVID-19 LIMS is a full-featured LIMS that deploys in just weeks to manage the unprecedented acceleration of your laboratory workflow and volume due to the SARS-CoV-2 virus pandemic. It features built-in COVID-19 extracting and testing workflows, including OMICS workflows, CDC test methods, and related master data.

Facilitate your digital transformation: LabVantage COVID-19 LIMS is built for the full scope of research and clinical diagnostic lab activities. Users can exchange workflows via an embedded ELN, query the master data vault with a built-in navigator, re-order consumables and more, all in one place. We connect your lab to your ERP, MRP, and other enterprise systems.

LabVantage Medical Suite is the Laboratory Information System (LIS) that integrates all medical laboratory disciplines together, so pathologists don’t have to log into different systems and pull data for the same patient multiple times.

  • Minimize obstacles that slow down results by operating with one.
  • Streamline point-of-care (POC) testing with a built-in POC module that improves turnaround times.
  • Enable growth and flexibility. Need to add another testing line, like genetics? LabVantage supports it – no need for an additional vendor.
  • LabVantage meets HL7 standards for patient care and instrument maintenance, and analyst certification are supported to satisfy regulations.

LabVantage COVID-19 LIMS provides a full-featured LIMS with a rapid SaaS deployment that benefits from 35 years of informatics experience and non-stop investments in product development.

  • Rigorous data integrity management through comprehensive data traceability, built-in workflows and protocols supporting ALCOA+ guidance, and configurable user permissions and security that protect patient health information and study integrity.
  • A modern, flexible, and scalable platform that can support both your immediate informatics needs for an expedited ramp-up in COVID-19 diagnostic testing and COVID-19 research and can grow with you to support future needs beyond a global pandemic.
  • Can also be deployed on-premise.

As our laboratories carry out 4.3 million test results annually, LabVantage Medical Suite is pretty handy in analyzing and verifying whether the results are O.K. or not. The results are ready for the patients, either electronically or in paper format. Moreover, LabVantage gives us compiled statistics of our operations for us to further elaborate.”

LabVantage LIS integrated with different hospital data systems and laboratory instruments for Region Skåne Laboratory Medicine, a healthcare system in Sweden’s southernmost county. For example, it interfaced with a Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS), allowing more than 4,000 histology slides to be scanned daily, with digital images available on a computer screen. As a result, diagnostic quality was improved, particularly for complex cases. The system enabled off-site pathology experts to receive and review the digital screens via LabVantage Medical Suite’s conferencing tool, to contribute to diagnosis and treatment decisions. For in-house pathologists, the LIS also facilitated multidisciplinary medical rounds. And, should a patient be facing a cancer recurrence, LabVantage Medical Suite made it fast and easy to locate and share the patient’s historical data while complying with privacy regulations. This efficient process enabled rapid comparison with the new case.

As researchers at an Ivy League health system’s biobank threw themselves into COVID-19, studies poured in and the full-time team of nine soon found themselves swamped. Fortunately, having LabVantage LIMS in place allowed them to scale on demand, while condensing the 4- to 6-week timelines typical of new studies down to just days, all without comprising on compliance and regulatory requirements.”
