Rose Mary joined COLA in May 2012 as Education Division Manager, and now serves as President of CRI (COLA Resources Inc.), COLA’s non for profit subsidiary. She also serves as Chair of CRI’s Board of Directors.
Prior to her position with COLA, Rose Mary was the US Director of Business Development with Copan Diagnostics Inc. In this role, Rose Mary was responsible for launching a new automated processing platform (Walk Away Specimen Processor) generating over $3 million in sales. She also successfully increased sales of diagnostic product lines by $3.5 million resulting in a 30% corporate profit growth. She managed a staff of Business Development Managers and Copan’s US Service Team. In her role, Rose Mary was also instrumental in supporting various FDA submissions on key product lines. Prior to Copan, Rose Mary worked with (BD) Becton Dickinson Biosciences as the Worldwide Marketing Manager. She was responsible for a $250 million portfolio of products in the US Clinical and reference Microbiology markets. She started her career with BD back in 1991 as a Microbiology Specialist. Prior to BD, Rose Mary was Chief Microbiologist at Jupiter Medical Center in Florida. She also was a microbiologist/Parasitologist/Serologist/ Mycologist/Mycobacteriologist at North Shore University Hospital/LIJ Health Systems and Catholic Medical Center in NY.
Rose Mary received her Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology with a minor in Chemistry from St. John’s University in Queens, NY and is completing her Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Delaware. She is a member of the ATHENA CHAPTER National Honor Society and participated in the Kellogg Northeastern University Marketing Excellence Program. Among her achievements and recognitions are recipient of the NY Laboratory Excellence Award presented by the St. John’s University College of Pharmacy and Allied Health, the Becton Dickinson President’s Club Award, Sales Eagles Club Award, Teamwork Excellence Award, and three-time recipient of the Southeast Regional Sales Award.
Rose Mary has been instrumental in the development of various Consultative Selling Programs, Marketing Plans and Strategic Business Plans, and has been a member of the CLSI Collection & Transport Committee. Rose Mary is fluent in 4 languages: English, Italian, Spanish and French.
