wolfRina Wolf of XIFIN, Inc.,  is a nationally recognized expert in the field of laboratory commercialization and reimbursement, with over 20 years of experience in the diagnostic laboratory industry, specializing in Molecular Diagnostic Laboratories. She lectures extensively on these topics and has consulted for over 50 laboratories in the areas of commercialization, optimizing reimbursement and coverage, and compliance. Ms. Wolf is an active participant and advocate in industry affairs. She is a member of relevant AMA workgroups, is a former President and board member of the California Clinical Laboratory Association and is an active participant with the ACLA and the Personalized Medicine Coalition. Ms. Wolf also advises and presents to investor audiences, with recent speaking engagements including Piper Jaffray, Cowen Group, and Macquarie. Prior to joining XIFIN, Ms. Wolf held the position of Vice President of Reimbursement and Regulatory Affairs at Axial Biotech, Inc. where she was responsible for creating and implementing their successful reimbursement strategies.  She held executive positions in the area of commercialization and reimbursement at RedPath Integrated Pathology, Inc., Genomic Health, Inc., and Esoterix (now LabCorp). Ms. Wolf has a Bachelor of Arts degree from UCLA and a Masters of HealthCare Administration.

Thomas W. Scheanwald is the President & Chief Operating Officer of APS Medical Billing. He is responsible for Operations, Information Systems, Client Services and Marketing for APS, a privately-held medical billing service firm which provides pathology billing, practice management related services and consulting to 175 pathology practices in 26 states. With APS since 1990, Mr. Scheanwald’s experience lies in the day-to-day strategic billing and financial management of independent labs, hospital-based physician pathology practices and academic practices. Prior to his tenure at APS, he was the Director of Marketing at CBT Services, a Trans Union credit information company and its affiliated collection agency. Mr. Scheanwald has presented at conferences of the American Pathology Foundation, College of American Pathologists, Healthcare Financial Managers Association, Medical Group Managers Association, Association of Pathology Chairs and many state pathology and medical associations. He holds a BS in Business Association from Bowling Green State University.

Michelle Miller is the Vice President at Vachette Pathology. She has been with Vachette almost since the beginning, coming from a healthcare background with more than 25 years’ experience in accounts receivables management, network and insurance contract review and negotiations, financial management, claims adjudication, and customer/provider service. Ms. Miller’s role at Vachette is a dynamic one, working closely with the Vachette team to review and negotiate managed care contracts, assess financial information, review audits, and work with respective billing agencies and hospital administrations as needed for effective management of each account. Her successful negotiations with several managed care organizations and commercial carriers have resulted in substantial increases for many of Vachette’s clients. She has worked with new practices guiding them through all phases of new practice set up, and has taken pathology practices through initial development with billing agencies and worked through initialization of new laboratory information systems. She is adept at performing complex billing audits and providing support for moving practices to electronic billing functions and automated processes. She is credited with orchestrating contractual settlements with insurance carriers due to nonpayment issues for more than half a million dollars additional revenue. Ms. Miller has presented at Indiana Association of Pathologists and the Minnesota Society of Pathologists, and is a highly decorated Dale Carnegie graduate.
