Free Webinar: Digital Pathology Implementation Strategies

AUSTIN, TEXAS (May 3, 2023) — Dark Daily today announced the May 10, 2023 free webinar, “Digital Pathology Implementation Strategies.” This webinar is for pathologists, hospital executives, and lab leaders looking for an update on key infrastructure requirements of digital pathology workflows.

As reimbursement for digital pathology services starts to potentially become a reality, more clinical laboratories will explore the technology. However, mistakes in planning and implementation will be costly. During this webinar, experts will focus on the business-side foundation and implementation requirements of digital pathology service and workflow, and lessons learned through years of consultation, use case development, and implementation.

This new webinar—hosted by Dark Daily and sponsored by Hamamatsu—features W. Dean Wallace, MD, Professor of Pathology at the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California (USC), and Orly Ardon, PhD, MBA, Director of Digital Pathology Operations at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center’s Pathology Department (MSKCC).

Dr. Wallace’s ongoing work in informatics and digital pathology includes collaborative efforts in radiology and pathology correlation and implementation of digital pathology into standard pathology practice workflows. Dr. Ardon leads the digital scanning team and operations of the different scanning initiatives and collaborations at MSKCC. Drs. Ardon and Wallace will answer questions during the Q&A segment of the free webinar.

By attending this 60-minute program, attendees will be able to:

  • Explain key workflow aspects of the components needed in a digital pathology service.
  • Identify common limitations of commercial digital pathology products.
  • Structure a digital pathology implementation team.
  • Plan a goal-based approach to develop your business case for digital pathology implementation.

“Digital Pathology Implementation Strategies” is available for free, live access Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at 1 p.m. Eastern and on-demand thereafter. Use this free, 60-minute program as an essential tool.
